  • You start in Kakadu, where the sealed roads end and the real country begins. Stone, water, and distance. Long tracks through escarpment. Gorge swims that sharpen the senses. Sunset on the wetlands, where crocodiles hold still and birdlife lifts in sheets. Nights come back to our private camp. Firelight, good food, warm showers, and nothing else around you.

    Then Arnhem Land, entered by invitation. Culture that isn’t packaged. Artists working with story. Rock art that changes the way you think about time. Country that feels held, watched over, and deeply alive.

    From there, you go further, to Davidson’s at Mt Borradaile, where wilderness and comfort sit side by side. Billabongs, sacred sites, quiet luxury.

    You finish at Bamurru Plains, where the land opens into floodplain and sky. Wetlands at dusk. Airboats. Wildlife moving through its own rhythm.
